OM my goodness

So I had not long started a meditation course at the Hale Clinic and was about week 3 of 7 I think into it and was told about the free OM healing session on Fridays.  I was always curious about the whole OM thing well it was free how could I refuse!

I went along with with reflexologist and like nervous school girls we ventured into the meditation room.  She had been to an OMing session before, I had not. There were lots of regulars there - I didn't know what to make of it- but hey it was an experience.

So we were told the basics and to adopt the heart mudra with the hands to help us concentrate on the heart center.

A circle is formed in the middle people facing outwards, with other people forming another circle facing inwards towards the other inner circle.

Right, off we go, so we were told we were going to make the sound 'OM' for an hour.  AN HOUR??!! - oh my goodness how was I going to last? I can't even sit still that long.  It was broken down into 20 min sections to swap the people in the inner circle with the people in the outer circle...but you had to still OM - no break in sound, no dip in volume - just keep Om-ing.

I didn't think I would make it - but i did! It was really powerful I could feel the vibrations of everyone OM-ing right through my body - it was weird! I started hearing different pitches, volumes and sounds even though we were just OMing.  I felt like I had a good...well clearing that's for sure.  My tummy certainly did (sorry...gross) but then later that night I had a massive headache which turned into a migraine.  A big clearing that's for sure.  Then I felt really blue, like I was on a big come down and decided to let go of someone I had become attached to as I had enough.  The next day I was fine...then that person I decided to let go of...came round out of the blue!  What's that all about?

Rugby ball wants to go out and play

So I woke up this morning to find my rugby ball in the middle of the hallway (as pictured below)

I laughed as after months of being off sports because of my 'dodgy' ankle, I think it was a sign for me that I can go out to play now.

Reconstruction :-)
Now I know some of you are thinking yeah - whatever.  Where was the ball originally? Well I can tell it was placed in that little table in the top corner placed on top of 2 other rugby balls. Those with logical/analytical minds will think (as I did) well over time the other rugby balls had deflated causing this one to fall out and roll to the middle of the hallway. There you go.  Does it matter? The point is - it was a sign to go out and play - yay! And I did and my ankle was fine!! I missed touch rugby a lot!  Oh yeah she's back! No where did I put that pump?!
